Your guide to college jobs

Whether you’re looking for a job to earn rent money, cover tuition or to earn some extra cash, getting a job is muy importante. We’re big fans of finding jobs that are close to where you spend most of your time. You can squeeze in a shift between classes and (probably) already have a way of getting to the area where you’ll work (read our tips on what to do if you don’t have transportation). Here are our ideas on how to find and snag a position in a great area.
Work on campus
Apply for a job where you already spend most of your time — at school. ASU has lots of student positions available on campus, and you can search for open positions here. Some student workers are even hired on as full-time employees after graduation. While it’s not a guarantee of post-college employment, it's a great way to make connections and showcase your skills.
Check out career events
ASU's Career and Professional Development Services offers in-person and virtual events all year long. They offer career and internship fairs, practice interviews, resume and cover letter tips and more. It’s the perfect place to get expert tips and advice while expanding your network and learning everything you need to know about working on-or off-campus
Try a campus favorite
Think about all of the places you frequent on campus. From your favorite spot to grab lunch to where you’d get your phone screen repaired. These are all great places to consider for a position. Lucky for you, many of the on-campus restaurants and shops will be at the career fair on the 19th.
Remember to update your resume with the help of ASU's Career and Professional Development Services before you start applying. And check out these great tips from our student blogger on how to rock a career fair.
Sun Devils turn to ASU Adulting 101 to learn (some of) the things not taught in class. Not sure about how to do something? Need to connect with an expert? We got you.
