You may not know what your summer plans are yet, or if the plans you did have are still going to happen. That’s okay. ASU is offering summer classes for both A and C sessions remotely (a decision about B session will be made soon) so you’ll be able to work toward earning credits from wherever you are, no matter what happens.
Here are the top three reasons to register for a class (or two) this summer:
Keep yourself on track. If you dropped a required class at any point in your college career, or need to pass a class you struggled in, retake it over summer. This way you’ll stay on track toward graduation and if you take it as your only class for the session, you’ll be able to put all of your focus on it.
Get ahead. Maybe you don’t have any classes to retake, but that doesn’t mean you can’t work ahead. Check out your major map to see what classes you have coming up that you could take over the summer. Taking even one class over the summer session will move you one step (and a few credits) closer to graduation.
Study from anywhere. No matter where you are geographically this summer, you’ll be able to take a summer session class. Both A and C session classes will be delivered remotely, so even if you don’t live near campus, check out class search to see which classes are available during summer.
A few more things to keep in mind when registering for summer:
If you’re concerned about paying for summer classes, there’s still time to find a scholarship to cover your expenses. Check out scholarships.asu.edu to find scholarships you may be eligible for. Apply ASAP to get funding for the upcoming sessions.
You can still submit a 2020-2021 FAFSA to be considered for financial aid for the summer session as well. Or if you have any unused financial aid from this year, you can still accept it for summer.
All of the services and the support team that helped you succeed during spring are available during the summer session as well. Services include tutoring, the writing center and the career center. Plus your support team made up of your academic advisor, your FYS success coach, Sunny the chatbot and your professors will be there for you too. The ASU community is here to support your success.
Registration is already open for summer classes, so head to class search and see what works for you.
Sun Devils turn to ASU Adulting 101 to learn (some of) the things not taught in class. Not sure about how to do something? Need to connect with an expert? We got you.
