ASU resources to help with social distancing

student celebrating ASU online resources during covid19

Your college experience may not be going exactly as you planned right now. Our new remote reality is taking a toll on everyone’s lives, and we’re all trying to keep pace. As you settle into remote learning, ASU is moving resources like first-year success coaches, tutoring and advising straight to your living room (or wherever you connect). Check out this ever-growing list of ASU resources you can access from anywhere.

Tutoring and writing centers

Need help with a tough class? You can still access tutoring and the writing center virtually. Set up a virtual appointment to discuss your class or assignment, or join their "Chat With Us" Zoom room staffed  from noon to 11 p.m. on Sundays, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays (Arizona time).

FYS coaches and advisors

Your coach is still here for you — virtually. Set up an appointment to talk with your coach about anything you’re going through, or join the FYS Slack channel to ask the staff quick questions during office hours.

Virtual meditation

Join the Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience for their Midday Mindfulness Sessions every weekday from noon to 1 p.m. It’s a great way to unwind, relax and put your mind on something other than current events for a full hour.

Sun Devil Fitness Complex online

If you’re missing your daily gym fix, the SDFC has you covered. They’ve moved their group fitness classes online, and they’re all available on their YouTube channel. Check out their Instagram for more home workouts, plus tips and advice for staying motivated, and their remote streaming schedule.

Explore wellness

Live Well @ ASU has resources to help you work on wellness from wherever you are. These DIY wellness activities range from tips on healthy eating to resources to help improve your sleep, and even printable coloring book pages. Check out everything they’re offering and start working on your wellness from home.

Study to music

Looking for a playlist to jam to while you study? Look no further. ASU Online has playlists that were made to help you focus, get motivated and ace your next assignment. Check out the available playlists here. Then check out some of their resources for how to hold yourself accountable for online work and more tips for remote learning.

We’ll continue adding to this list of resources to help you succeed. If you know of a helpful resource for ASU students that you would like to share with your fellow Sun Devils, please let us know by sending us a message at asuadulting101@asu.edu or tagging us on Instagram

Adulting 101

Sun Devils turn to ASU Adulting 101 to learn (some of) the things not taught in class. Not sure about how to do something? Need to connect with an expert? We got you.
